  What is Scoliosis?
When a person with a normal spine is viewed from the front or back, the spine appears to be straight. When a person with scoliosis is viewed from the front or back, the spine appears to be curved. Scoliosis is a deformity of the spine in which the spine curves abnormally from side to side (S-shaped or C-shaped) rather than being straight. The spine may also be twisted (rotated).

icon Invent "Cantilever bending technique" for large and rigid scoliosis to avoid anterior release procedures and associated complication and to improve the magnitude of correction.
icon Invent a technique to enhance capacity for spontaneous correction of lumbar curve to have
more patients with major thoracic-compensatory lumbar curve to be satisfactorily corrected
with selective thoracic fusion and without surgery on the lumbar curve.
icon Invent "Apical lordosating osteotomy" for kyphotic deformity in osteoporotic patients to
minimize the risks of operation for senile patients.
icon Invent "Closing-opening wedge osteotomy" for severe kyphotic deformity through a
single posterior approach and one-segment osteotomy rather than combined
anterior and posterior approachand two-segment osteotomy.
icon Twelve inventions or discoveries to minimize the risk of surgery, improve
magnitude of correction.
icon All these inventions and discovery were published in highest-rank "Spine Journal". Spine,Kyphosis,Scoliosis …More
