Iatrogenic Kyphosis |
|
Iatrogenic Kyphosis is resulted from destruction of posterior structure of spine by previous operation. The kyphosis will deteriorate and result in disc degeneration, vertebral body wedging and sagittal imbalance and creates a biomechanical environment promoting progression. So, if left untreated, iatrogenic kyphosis can develop into severe kyphotic deformity and can result in symptoms of compressive neuropathy. Surgical correction is usually necessary treatment of iatrogenic kyphosis. |
